A centrally situated lounge and dining area right on the edge of the Zambezi River enjoy superb river views. The lodge has 7 standard rooms and 2 honeymoon suites. Each stone and thatch lodge has its own en suite bathroom facilities and a private riverside balcony, which overlooks the Zambezi River. Thorntree's riverside location and unique position within the national park allows for a wide range of choice of activities including sunset cruises & drives within the Mosi oa Tunya National park Thorntree is also home to a family of domesticated African elephant. We offer morning and afternoon elephant safaris and weddings with a difference from our Elephant Boma. Our rates include all meals, local drinks & selected in house activities. Main area comprises of lounge area, indoor dining area and a bar that leads onto a deck that overlooks the Zambezi River.?al Fresco style meals are enjoyed at different locations within the lodge where the weather permits. Vegetarians can be catered for but Halaal and Kosher meals unfortunately cannot be provided. Private dinners to celebrate a special occassion can be arranged.?Swimming gpool - an essential for balmy summer days.?Main electricity with square pin sockets. We recommend South African guests bring square to round pin adaptors to charge their cell phones and computers.?Wireless internet in the main area of the lodge.?The lodge is 12 kms from Livingstone.
