There are 4 camps. The Base Camp, which consists of several open-plan rooms with sharing ablutions, as well as a barbecue area. The other camps namely Camp Battlesnake, Koelkrans, and Horseshoe Camp each have 7 twin bedded huts and the main hut which has a covered seating area and a small kitchenette, as well as a fireplace. We have adopted the Standard Operating Procedures for all our service Centers and lodges in line with the Government of Namibia’s instructions to the tourism industry. We want to ensure the safest possible environment for our guests and employees whilst offering a comfortable, unforgettable Namibian experience. Experience the magical atmosphere of our rustic self-catering camps in the northern reaches of the Fish River Canyon. Take a leisurely 4x4 drive to one of our unique camps and enjoy the tranquility and peace in the most spectacular rugged landscape of the Fish River Canyon. Or start your hiking adventure from Klipspringer Base Camp to Koelkrans, Horseshoe, and Rattlesnake Camp. Each camp has cabins with beds and mattresses as well as communal bathrooms. A central cabin serves as a dining area and kitchen, while a fire pit or braai-place outdoors is provided for braais/barbeques. Each camp has its own cutlery and crockery, including a kettle, braai grids, and a gas stove. Firewood is available. For detailed information on each camp please download the info pack on the right. The Canyon Klipspringer Camps are bookable all year; however, hiking is only permitted between April to September. Trail maps will be provided. For the rest of the year, hiking is strictly prohibited due to heat, which can result in serious health risks.
