Agama Lodge is situated on the floor of a valley, around a dry riverbed, with superb facilities and splendid views of the Naukluft Mountains to the east. The recent addition of comfortable, air-conditioned rustic style chalets has widened the appeal of the Lodge to those seeking comfort and amenities. The design of the chalets also offers Guests the unique option of sleeping under the stars of the Namib sky in the privacy of their own rooftop. This roof also serves as a viewing platform for watching the sun’s rays outline the Naukluft Mountains at dawn and perform their magical light show at the end of every stunning desert day. In the terrace restaurant, guests can savour superb culinary delights, often using home-grown produce, always cooked to perfection and served with pride. During the day, however, the opportunities for exploration will draw most Guests to hiking or driving in the nearby mountains, or visiting the amazing, massive red dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei not far away.

These spacious, air-conditioned chalets feature warm décor and local touches. They also include a desk, wardrobe or closet and a private showerroom and a separate toilet. Each chalet has a deck with chairs with views of the Namib Naukluft Mountains. Each unit has a sky bed located on the roof. The sky bed provides guests with an opportunity to sleep under the Namib Desert night sky with spectacular views of the milky way galaxy as you doze off and enjoy a pleasant night’s rest. The set-up of the sky bed is done at an additional cost of N$750.00 per set-up per room. The price includes a bottle of sparkling wine and a snack platter. There are 20 Standard chalets of which 5 offer double-beds and 15 have twin beds.
